Social Media can grab consumers’ attention, but for how long? \u00a0It only takes about 3-4 seconds to make a first impression. \u00a0This is the amount of time you have to influence your audience that your product tops them all, and they basically need it in their lives.<\/p>\n

How does one resolve the\u00a0difficult task to make a lasting impression on social media? \u00a0MILE Social suggests you increase your social media platforms, then increase your engagement on each platform.<\/p>\n

You want to send the message to the consumer to invest in your brand or product. \u00a0Social Media gives consumers a choice of whether or not to purchase your product. \u00a0More than 50% of consumers make their purchase based on social media. \u00a0To be more specific, if they are “following” or “like” a brand on social media, they are more than likely to invest in it.<\/p>\n

Take advantage of the world wide web and understand you have the ability to place your product in front of everyone. \u00a0In order to do this, you need to know how the internet, specifically different avenues of social media, function. \u00a0The internet has changed consumer behavior.<\/p>\n

We live in a multi-tasking world, and shopping on computers and mobile devices is now a way of life. \u00a0The perfect example is \u00a0Black Friday. \u00a0Black Friday makes shopping convenient, easier to search for items, saves time, and for some, kills time at work.<\/p>\n

If your business is making custom\u00a0handbags, I suggest at least having a Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. \u00a0Facebook is the largest social media platform. \u00a0Tell your friends and family to like and share your page. \u00a0Friends and family are usually trusted sources. \u00a0Instagram is excellent for visuals. \u00a0The consumer can clearly see your product and make a decision for themselves.<\/p>\n

Sometimes no caption is needed if your handbag makes a big enough statement. \u00a0Pinterest is great for unique and custom-made products. \u00a0Consumers “pin” your product and share it if they like it or are interested in it. \u00a0A tried and true product on Pinterest is a reliable review for consumers who are questioning your product. \u00a0This is similar to how TripAdvisor works for hotels.<\/p>\n

Twitter is great for numerous reasons. \u00a0I personally like it for back-and-forth conversations – the next best thing to engaging with your audience aside from a direct message or email. \u00a0Everything is in real time, and with Google’s new tracking with Twitter, key words are searchable in real time as well.<\/p>\n

Keep your demographic in mind as well. \u00a0Some smaller business have a target market of up to a 50 mile radius from their location. \u00a0Therefore, they would not cater to someone\u00a0in another country, let alone\u00a0another state. \u00a0Most mobile devices offer the option of GPS.<\/p>\n

When a user is near your business, and looks up “women’s accessories,” your business (custom handbags) would appear in the user’s search results. \u00a0Seeing your business appear on the user’s phone has a bigger influence for them to drive to your store, because it is nearby, and convenient.<\/p>\n
