The announcement was made by General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nelson (6-5\/275\/Southern Mississippi\/Gonzales, LA)<\/strong> was signed by the Jets (10\/31\/11) and inactive for three games.\u00a0 He was waived by the Buffalo Bills (09\/03\/11) after being placed on the reserve\/non-football injury list (12\/14\/10). Nelson was originally drafted by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft (121<sup>st<\/sup> overall).
