Welcome back to our weekly fantasy baseball article on <\/font>www.jetnation.com<\/font><\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>In this space each week we will offer some players that are probably available in your league and could be useful going forward as well as who is hot\/not.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>\u00c2\u00a0<\/span>All statistics are taken from the last 2 weeks of play.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>Here are my favorite pickups for the week;<\/font><\/p>\n

Josh Johnson-<\/strong>He is coming off the DL on Monday and finished in the top 5 in ERA last year.<\/font><\/p>\n

Brad Lidge-<\/strong>He may have been dropped in your league and with Wheeler blowing up daily he is a solid closer choice for the rest of the way.<\/font><\/p>\n

Rich Harden\u00c2\u00ad-<\/strong>He maybe the closer as the A\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s have said he will be in the bullpen the rest of the way.<\/font><\/p>\n

Estaban German-<\/strong>He will play everyday for the Royals and can give much needed speed to your fantasy team.<\/font><\/p>\n

Dustin McGowan-<\/strong>He has been nothing but solid but remember he does pitch for the Jays and has performed against the non-winners in his last few starts.<\/font><\/p>\n

J.P. Howell-<\/strong>He has been a strikeout machine for the up and coming Devil Rays.<\/font><\/p>\n

Felix Pie-<\/strong>He now has an everyday job and has started filing up all categories.<\/font><\/p>\n

Brandon Inge-<\/strong>He is on fire right now but can go cold for a month.<\/font><\/p>\n

Brandon Harris-<\/strong>He has been mentioned her before and continue to flourish in Tampa.<\/strong><\/font>\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Yovanni Gallardo-<\/strong>He is up with the Brewers and has an easy start to what will be an awesome career.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span>He will be better than all the other major names whom have come up this year.<\/font>\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Hot<\/font><\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

The New York Yankees-<\/strong>See 200 million can buy you a .500 team.<\/font><\/p>\n

Arod .391 4-23-<\/strong>If everyone hates him why does he lead everyone in All Star voting?<\/font><\/p>\n

Bobby Abreu .440 2-12-<\/strong>It was a matter of time but I would trade him now in fantasy and if I was the Yankees.<\/font><\/p>\n

Victor Martinez .392 4-12-<\/strong>The best fantasy catcher in the land.<\/font><\/p>\n

Kelvin Escobar 18K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2.40 ERA-<\/strong>When healthy, one of the top 5 pitchers in the A.L.<\/font><\/p>\n

Carlos Zambrano 2-1 17K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s-<\/strong> As long as Michael Barrett is not catching he is a Cy Young candidate.<\/font><\/p>\n

Justin Verlander 2-1 17K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s-<\/strong>I have to get the guy who pitched a no hitter on the list.<\/font><\/p>\n

Who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Not<\/font><\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0<\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dan Wheeler 15.00 ERA-<\/strong>He lost his closer job, started a fight with Chris Sampson, Good Times in Houston!<\/font><\/p>\n

Jamie Moyer 6.75-<\/strong>His luck has to run out sooner or later pitching in Philly.<\/font><\/p>\n

Tim Linecum-9.81 ERA<\/strong>– He may need to get back to AAA.<\/font><\/p>\n

Jermaine Dye .170<\/strong>-He just cant get it turned around, I can see him ending up with the Mets.<\/font><\/p>\n

Julio Lugo .140-<\/strong>You mean a speed guy is not working out in Boston..shocking<\/font><\/p>\n

On the injury front; Aramis Ramirez is now on the DL, Ryan Freel still has concussion syndrome while Moises Alou may never come back<\/font><\/p>\n
