{"id":940,"date":"2007-05-15T16:54:27","date_gmt":"2007-05-15T21:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=940"},"modified":"2007-05-15T16:54:27","modified_gmt":"2007-05-15T21:54:27","slug":"fantasy-baseball-whos-hot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2007\/05\/15\/fantasy-baseball-whos-hot\/","title":{"rendered":"Fantasy Baseball &#8211; Who&#039;s Hot?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" width=\"133\" src=\"http:\/\/jetnation.com\/graphics\/header\/jnlogo.gif\" height=\"102\" style=\"width: 133px; height: 102px\" \/>By Mike Dietrich<br \/>\n<\/strong>Welcome back to our weekly fantasy baseball article on <a href=\"http:\/\/jetnation.com\/\">http:\/\/jetnation.com<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 All statistics are taken from the last 2 weeks of play.\u00c2\u00a0 Here are my favorite pickups for the week;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jose Guillen<\/strong> 2-12 .365 &#8211; He is a known streak hitter and when healthy he has produced big power number in both leagues.<br \/>\n<strong>Troy Tutowlski<\/strong> 2-11 .339 &#8211; The SS for Colorado is finally living up to the preseason hype and should be grabbed in all leagues.<br \/>\n<strong><!--more-->Ryan Doumit<\/strong> 2-5 .472 &#8211; He could be eligible in your league at catcher and with Ronnie Paulino struggling as well as the Xavier Nady injury he is playing almost every day.<br \/>\n<strong>Benji Molina<\/strong> 2-10 .360 &#8211; He is quietly putting up solid numbers for a catcher and would be a great replacement for the Piazza owners out there.<br \/>\n<strong>Alex Gonzales<\/strong> 5-11 .270 &#8211; He looks like he is back to being a 20 home run shortstop and in Cincinnati that is a great bet.<br \/>\n<strong>Matt Belisle<\/strong> 1-1 17K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2.45 &#8211; The 5th starter has pitched well all year and looks to be a solid bet for 12 plus wins.<br \/>\n<strong>Chad Gaudin<\/strong> 1-1 14K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 3.17 &#8211; Billy Beane would not trade him and now everyone is seeing why.\u00c2\u00a0 He has been very consistent and in that park should remain that way.<br \/>\n<strong>Claudio Vargas<\/strong> 2-0 13K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s .052 &#8211; He has shown flashed before but pitching for the National League\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best team has restarted his career.<br \/>\n<strong>Rafael Soriano<\/strong> 4 saves 0.00 &#8211; He is the better bet for saves in the Atlanta Braves bullpen.\u00c2\u00a0 How did the Mariners let him go for Horacio Ramirez?<br \/>\n<strong>Fred Lewis<\/strong> 4 Hrs and 7 SB\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s in AAA &#8211; He should be playing everyday for the injured Dave Roberts.<br \/>\n<strong>Roger Clemens<\/strong> &#8211; Not sure if you heard that this future Hall of Famer will be pitching in Yankee stadium by the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Hot<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Adam Dunn<\/strong> 7-15 .312 &#8211; I do not know of a league that count strikeouts, so you are safe.<br \/>\n<strong>Prince Fielder<\/strong> 5-15 .333 &#8211; He is not the size of his Dad as of yet but is getting there.<br \/>\n<strong>JJ Hardy<\/strong> 3-13 .415 &#8211; He has to slow down.\u00c2\u00a0 The Brewers have to slow down.\u00c2\u00a0 Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t they?<br \/>\n<strong>Mark Texiera<\/strong> 4-12 .384 &#8211; This is why some of us drafted him early.\u00c2\u00a0 About time.<br \/>\nShane Victorino 8 Sb\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s .300 &#8211; He maybe the best OF in Philly right now.<br \/>\n<strong>Dan Haren<\/strong> 23 K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2.65 &#8211; Now we know why Omar Minaya was trying to get this guy.<br \/>\n<strong>Jamie Shields<\/strong> 2-0 21K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 1.48 &#8211; He is a TB pitcher but a very good one.<br \/>\n<strong>John Smoltz<\/strong> 3-0 21 K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 1.71 &#8211; Leading the way for best pitchers over 40.<br \/>\n<strong>Brad Penny<\/strong> 2-0 18K\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 0.00 &#8211; Trade him before he gets hurt or goes into the tank as usual.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Not<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Vernon Wells<\/strong> 0-1 .200 &#8211; Hope he is enjoying that huge deal.<br \/>\n<strong>Dan Uggla<\/strong> .183 &#8211; Sophomore slump strikes again.<br \/>\n<strong>Robinson Cano<\/strong> 0-7 .152 &#8211; I guess Yankee fans will have to wait to induct him into the HOF.<br \/>\n<strong>A.J.
