Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star Ledger is reporting that the Jets have reached an agreement with unrestricted free-agent quarterback Marques Tuiasosopo.\u00c2\u00a0 He says a deal should\u00c2\u00a0be in place shortly.<\/p>\n

The 28 year old Tuiasosopo who stands 6’1″ and weighs 220lbs is entering his 7th NFL season.\u00c2\u00a0 He was originally a 2nd round pick by the Raiders in the 2001 NFL Draft.\u00c2\u00a0 He has seen limited action in his previous 6 seasons.\u00c2\u00a0 The Jets are making this move to have a veteran backup on the roster.\u00c2\u00a0 Marques will have the opportunity to compete for the backup QB job but will most likely serve as the #3 QB this season.<\/p>\n
