When the winless New York Jets take on the also 0-3 Miami Dolphins this Monday night, somebody is going to come away embarrassed. Dropping to 0-4 is one thing.\u00a0 Doing it against another one of the worst teams in the league is just bit of salt in the wound.\u00a0 Who will it be?\u00a0 Let’s preview and give it our best guess.<\/p>\n
Offense:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Jets don’t know who their quarterback will be as Justin Fields looks to get out of concussion protocol<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, but whether it’s him or Tyrod Taylor, a win is going to be difficult to come by if they can’t get their running game going.\u00a0 After a strong start to the season in which Breece Hall ran for over 100 yards, he’s managed just 50 yards in nineteen carries.\u00a0 In fact, Fields and Taylor led the team in rushing yards against the Bills and Bucs respectively.\u00a0 It’s going to be tough to win games if your quarterback is consistently your biggest running threat.<\/p>\n As far as the Jets and their ability to throw the ball, Miami is the worst secondary they’ve faced to date, but Gang Green is still without a second wide receiver to compliment Garrett Wilson.\u00a0 Can they get somebody else going (Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, etc) against a secondary that’s allowing 8.9 yards per attempt, which is third-worst in the NFL?\u00a0 If they can get that done, they’ll have a shot to win.\u00a0 And for those who think they can call this one accurately, you can use the betting bonus available right here<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n Defense:<\/strong><\/p>\n This is where Jets fans should be most worried.\u00a0 Aaron Glenn’s defense has not only been a bad tackling defense, but they’re getting worse.\u00a0 After missing 8 tackles in week 1, they’ve seen that number jump to 10 in week two and then sixteen last week.<\/p>\n
