{"id":8137,"date":"2011-06-03T06:23:07","date_gmt":"2011-06-03T10:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=8137"},"modified":"2011-06-03T06:31:52","modified_gmt":"2011-06-03T10:31:52","slug":"new-york-jets-news-and-notes-32","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2011\/06\/03\/new-york-jets-news-and-notes-32\/","title":{"rendered":"New York Jets News and Notes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>1) Defensive line working out together-<\/strong> It was not exactly Mark Sanchez&#8217; &#8220;Jets West&#8221; practice arrangement, but on Thursday several members of the New York Jets defensive line met up to start working out together.\u00a0\u00a0 Sione Pouha, Mike Devito, Muhammad Wilkerson, Ropati Pitoitua, and Jamaal Westerman met up at a high school in north Jersey to start working on technique and line drills.\u00a0 The group will reportedly meet up to 3 times a week to work out, with veteran Shaun Ellis expected to join them.<\/p>\n<p>I am encouraged to hear that Ellis will be working with the group as this could open the door for Shaun (the longest tenured Jet) to return to Gang Green.\u00a0 As of now Ellis is an unrestricted free agent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Jets\u00a0 ranked #10 Organization-<\/strong> Recently Adam Schein from FOXSports.com released his <a href=\"http:\/\/msn.foxsports.com\/nfl\/story\/green-bay-packers-are-best-nfl-organization-in-2011-rankings-060111\">2011 NFL Organizational Rankings<\/a>.\u00a0 The rankings were based on six categories \u2014 owner, quarterback, head coach, front office, coaching staff and intangibles, which include facilities, fan support and public relations.\u00a0\u00a0 Schein&#8217;s top ten:<\/p>\n<p>1 Green Bay Packers<\/p>\n<p>2 New Orleans Saints<\/p>\n<p>3 Pittsburgh Steelers<\/p>\n<p>4 New England Patriots<\/p>\n<p>5 Philadelphia Eagles<\/p>\n<p>6 Indianapolis Colts<\/p>\n<p>7 New York Giants<\/p>\n<p>8 Atlanta Falcons<\/p>\n<p>9 Baltimore Ravens<\/p>\n<p>10 New York Jets<\/p>\n<p>Not for nothing, but how exactly are the Giants ranked ahead of the Jets?
