href=\"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/2025\/01\/24\/aaron-glenn-named-jets-head-coach-looking-back-at-the-coaching-carousel\/?srsltid=AfmBOopVG-YBvzuJjVhYTqcuCjIHiRIBubm9TC4s34Yz7mxU7ql4O2XC\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Head coach Aaron Glenn<\/strong><\/span><\/a> had some praise for some of the youngsters as Rich Cimini of ESPN New York chimed in with some thoughts of fact that what any of these players did and where they came from doesn&#8217;t matter.\u00a0 Now that they&#8217;re in the building, they have a shot.\u00a0 What would players have to do to stand out?\u00a0 Glenn listed the three things he was looking for.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can they learn<\/li>\n<li>Are they coachable<\/li>\n<li>Can they play special teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Glenn also thanked his former boss in Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who would at times, allow Glenn to address the entire Detroit team, not just the defense.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about speedy wide receiver Arian Smith, Glenn said under his breath but audibly &#8220;Arian has some juice, don&#8217;t he?&#8221;\u00a0 Smith&#8217;s speed is a trait that will garner plenty of attention.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps most interesting from Cimini was noting the fact that Glenn has all rookies taking part in the practice sessions.\u00a0 Under previous head coach Robert Saleh, rookies were spectators only as the team looked to avoid injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Tight end Mason Taylor is the player the Jets thought they were getting according to Glenn.\u00a0 Taylor shows good hands and ability to knife between defenders according to the
