{"id":770,"date":"2006-12-13T08:54:02","date_gmt":"2006-12-13T13:54:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=770"},"modified":"2021-06-24T07:16:28","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T11:16:28","slug":"deja-vu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2006\/12\/13\/deja-vu\/","title":{"rendered":"D\u00c3\u2030J\u00c3\u20ac VU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/jetnation.com\/forums\/images\/avatars\/bag.jpg\" align=\"right\" \/>By Tyson Rauch<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span \/><\/p>\n<p>It was a bright brisk day at the Meadowlands with all of the playoff pieces falling into place for the New York Jets.\u00c2\u00a0 With a win on Sunday the Jets could take a substantial step ahead in the race for a wild card spot in the playoffs and better yet would be one game behind the division leading Patriots.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The stadium was rocking and the excitement ran through the building.\u00c2\u00a0 There was only one problem, the Jets and their coaching staff were not ready for the next step.\u00c2\u00a0 It appeared that someone changed the new look Jets back into the colors of the old and Gang Green proceeded to get <!--more-->blown out of the building.\u00c2\u00a0 Gone was the aggressive play calling.\u00c2\u00a0 Gone was the fire and brimstone approach formally shown by the Jets.\u00c2\u00a0 Back was the same old Jets.<\/p>\n<p>Just when you thought it was safe to think things have changed for the New York Jets the reality of their ineptitude creeps back in.\u00c2\u00a0 The names and faces change but the results are the same.\u00c2\u00a0 In a league where any team can win on any day it appears that once again the Jets came up short when it matters most.\u00c2\u00a0 This was a team effort and it starts at the top with a coaching staff known for their guts and creativity coming up conservative and scared.\u00c2\u00a0 A famous man once said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You play to win the game\u00e2\u20ac? and unfortunately coach Mangini played to not lose.\u00c2\u00a0 Sound familiar?\u00c2\u00a0 Same old Jets, same old results.<br \/>\n<span \/>Of course the Jets will come out this weekend with a valiant effort, striving to get themselves back in the playoff hunt.\u00c2\u00a0 They will try to suck the Jet fan back into believing in them for three more weeks.\u00c2\u00a0 Believe they will put behind another bad conference loss and will find a way to make the playoffs.\u00c2\u00a0 But have we not been there before?
