{"id":7660,"date":"2011-03-15T07:31:04","date_gmt":"2011-03-15T11:31:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=7660"},"modified":"2011-03-15T08:39:05","modified_gmt":"2011-03-15T12:39:05","slug":"new-york-jets-news-and-notes-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2011\/03\/15\/new-york-jets-news-and-notes-28\/","title":{"rendered":"New York Jets News And Notes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>1) Let the pay cuts begin-<\/strong> In an effort to control costs during the lockout the New York Jets announced that they will be reducing the salaries of all contract employees, including head coach Rex Ryan and general manager Mike Tannenbaum, by 25%.\u00a0 In addition all non-contract employees will be asked to take a one week per month unpaid furlough.\u00a0\u00a0 If a new CBA is reached without any games being missed, the money will be refunded to the employees.<\/p>\n<p>Note: The New York Giants at this point have not announced any cut backs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Ticket money to be refunded without interest-<\/strong> The New York Jets announced that they will offer season ticket holders refunds for games missed due to the lockout.\u00a0 The refund will not include any type of accrued interest.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) Jets nominated for &#8220;Team of the Year&#8221;- <\/strong>The New York Jets have been nominated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sportsbusinessdaily.com\/Daily.aspx\">Sports Business Journal Daily<\/a> as the &#8220;Professional Sports Team of the Year.&#8221;\u00a0 Other nominees include the Orlando Magic, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the San Francisco Giants, and Chip Ganassi Racing.\u00a0 Details behind the nomination were not offered by SBJD.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Players to boycott the Draft?
