{"id":7553,"date":"2011-03-02T13:55:20","date_gmt":"2011-03-02T17:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=7553"},"modified":"2019-11-28T07:20:55","modified_gmt":"2019-11-28T11:20:55","slug":"fox-sports-fox-sports-exclusive-nfl-cant-use-tv-cash-in-work-stoppage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2011\/03\/02\/fox-sports-fox-sports-exclusive-nfl-cant-use-tv-cash-in-work-stoppage\/","title":{"rendered":"Fox Sports: FOX Sports Exclusive NFL can&#8217;t use TV cash in work stoppage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/msn.foxsports.com\/nfl\/story\/NFL-cannot-use-TV-money-4-billion-as-work-stoppage-fund-CBA-030111?gt1=39002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adam Caplan from FoxSports.com<\/a> has an excellent update on a judges ruling that will prohibit NFL owners from taking TV money in the event of a work-stoppage.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>U.S. District Court Judge David Doty overruled special master Stephen  Burbank&#8217;s recent ruling that the owners could use the $4 billion in  television money they had stashed away as a potential work-stoppage fund  should the collective bargaining agreement expire midnight (ET)  Thursday .<\/p>\n<p>In essence, Doty ruled the NFL violated the CBA and called for a  separate hearing to assess the damages that should be awarded to the  players.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The NFL released this statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;As we have frequently said, our clubs are prepared for any contingency,  this decision included.
