{"id":7317,"date":"2011-01-29T17:45:11","date_gmt":"2011-01-29T21:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=7317"},"modified":"2019-11-28T07:24:20","modified_gmt":"2019-11-28T11:24:20","slug":"without-jets-super-bowl-ticket-prices-slump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2011\/01\/29\/without-jets-super-bowl-ticket-prices-slump\/","title":{"rendered":"Without Jets, Super Bowl Ticket Prices Slump"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York Jets fans aren&#8217;t the only ones disappointed by the Jets loss to the Steelers in the Championship game.\u00a0 Ticket scalpers are also feeling the loss in their wallet.\u00a0 According to <a href=\"http:\/\/newyork.cbslocal.com\/2011\/01\/27\/without-jets-bowl-ticket-prices-slump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CBS New York.com<\/a>, ticket prices have dropped significantly since the Jets were eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>They do not expect gambling on the Super Bowl to diminish.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.advantagesportsbetting.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Online Sports Betting<\/a> is alive and well.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf the Jets were in this game, tickets would be running anywhere  from  $3,500 to $15,000 per seat compared to where they are now at  $2,500 to  $10,000,\u201d said James Holzman, president and founder of Ace  Ticket. \u201cThe  Jets were the ultimate because they haven\u2019t been in (the  Super Bowl) for  40 years, since the days of Joe Namath.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Michael Janes, chief executive officer of FanSnap.com, said while   they are seeing a record number of searches for Super Bowl seats,   average prices have dropped since the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuper Bowl prices  started at $5,000 because clearly Chicago (Bears) and the Jets fans were  bullish,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>But after both the Bears and Jets were eliminated on Sunday, Janes   said, suddenly there were lots of those fans who put their tickets on   the market.
