After a bye week, there isn’t much more Grossman can ask for than a matchup against a 49ers defense that has surrendered 12 touchdowns through the air in six games.

START QB Matt Leinart, Arizona – Fantasy points will be easy to come by for the cross-eyed, weak-armed lefty as he faces a Green Bay defense that gives up nearly 300 yards passing per game.

SIT QB Vince Young, Tennessee – It’s a trendy pick to say to start Young against the Texans. However, the Texans shut down a much more talented Jaguars offense last week, and they shouldn’t have much trouble containing a rookie QB that is borderline mentally retarded. Although Young’s 3 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, and 47% completion percentage make it hard to justify keeping him out of your starting lineup.

SIT QB Tom Brady, New England – The Vikings are winning games by running the football and playing defense. Good for Chester Taylor, bad for opposing QBs.

START HB Leon Washington, New York Jets – In breaking news, something has been found that is actually worse than the Jets’ run defense: Cleveland’s.

START HB Thomas Jones, Chicago – The 49ers defense is just terrible. Can’t stop the run..can’t stop the pass…can’t stop opposing team’s from getting into the end zone. Hopefully, Cedric Benson won’t vulture Jones’ goal-line carries, because the Bears will be in that area of the field all day long.

SIT HBs Dominic Rhodes and Joseph Addai, Indianapolis – The Broncos are the only team in the league that has yet to surrender a touchdown on the ground. If you are going to play one, then play Addai, as he has a better chance for success than Rhodes, however, neither has a great chance for success.

SIT HB Deuce McCallister, New Orleans – Deuce has been running well (MUCH better than a certain over-rated scat back), but he will have a hard go of it against the Ravens and their 2nd-ranked rush defense.

START WR Bryant Johnson, Arizona – Johnson has been solid in filling in for the injured Larry Fitzgerald. Against Green Bay’s horrific pass defense, he has a chance to be spectacular.

START WR Donte Stallworth, Philadelphia – Stallworth has finally washed the sand out of his vagina and will return to the Eagles lineup for the first time in over a month. He could pick up where he left off against a banged up Jaguars defense.

SIT WR Deion Branch, Seattle – With Seneca Wallace at QB, it probably isn’t a great idea to start the Seahawks’ number two receiver.

SIT Minnesota Vikings WRs – A combination of things: the Pats’ defense has been better in recent weeks; Minnesota’s offense is not exactly Air Coryell; and the Vikings receivers are banged up.

by Leighton Clark START QB Rex Grossman, Chicago – Grossman will bounce back nicely from his historically terrible MNF performance against the Cardinals.
