1) Smith wins Player of the Week honors-<\/strong> On Wednesday the NFL announced that Brad Smith was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.\u00a0 Smith had an outstanding game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving night which included the following accomplishments:<\/p>\n

*\u00a0 Smith totaled 200 yards (122 kickoff return, 55 rushing, 23 receiving), including an 89-yard kickoff return-touchdown and a 53-yard rushing touchdown in the Jets\u2019 26-10 win against Cincinnati.<\/p>\n

* Smith became only the fourth player in NFL history to score on a rushing play of 50+ yards and on a kickoff return in the same game.<\/p>\n

* Smith\u2019s 89-yard KR-TD was the second-longest kickoff return of his career (106 yards, at Indianapolis on December 27, 2009).<\/p>\n

* Through Week 12, Smith leads the NFL with a 29.2 kick return average.<\/p>\n

2) 75 and counting-<\/strong> Following the game against the Bengals, Jets center Nick Mangold and left tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson became the only two players who entered the league together to start their team\u2019s first 75 regular-season games on the same offensive line since 1970.<\/p>\n
