{"id":6196,"date":"2010-11-07T18:03:59","date_gmt":"2010-11-07T22:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=6196"},"modified":"2010-11-07T18:06:31","modified_gmt":"2010-11-07T22:06:31","slug":"ny-jets-tame-lions-improve-to-6-and-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2010\/11\/07\/ny-jets-tame-lions-improve-to-6-and-2\/","title":{"rendered":"NY Jets Tame Lions, Improve To 6 and 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, we went with that title, Jets tame Lions.\u00a0 Yes, we realize that is weak.\u00a0 No, we don&#8217;t care.<\/p>\n<p>Another thing that Jets fans shouldn&#8217;t care about is all the worry that goes into how the Jets played.\u00a0 This team can play better there is no doubt about that.\u00a0 There is no shortage of things for them to improve upon.\u00a0 Yet they are in first place at 6 and 2 and there is not a team in the NFL that has a better record.<\/p>\n<p>A road win, is a road win.<\/p>\n<p>The Jets should make no apologies and just work on areas in which they need to improve.\u00a0 Specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Concentration, the penalties are out of control<\/li>\n<li>Especially the personal fouls.\u00a0 Really is no excuse for roughing the kicker<\/li>\n<li>The offense is guilty of too many 3 and out series, they need to improve the length of these drives.\u00a0 Today they had passing plays over over 50 (Holmes) and over 70 (Edwards) that won&#8217;t always be the case<\/li>\n<li>Using two timeouts on a defensive series that results in a touchdown.\u00a0 Might want to have a few meetings to cover that one this week<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mark Sanchez is in his second year and he plays like it.\u00a0 He did show his upside as he moved the team down the field in his last two drives of the first half and on the Jets last two possessions of the game (4th quarter and overtime).\u00a0 Jets fans would love to see a higher level of consistency going forward but for now Jet Nation should just exhale and enjoy the win.\u00a0 Sanchez finished the day at 22\/39 for 323 with 1 TD and 1 INT.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, welcome back Darrelle Revis.\u00a0 You were missed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, we went with that title, Jets tame Lions.\u00a0 Yes, we realize that is weak.\u00a0 No, we don&#8217;t care.
