1) No Moss or Merriman-<\/strong> As expected the New York Jets did not put in a claim for Randy Moss or Shawne Merriman.\u00a0 Moss went to the Titans, with Merriman going to the Bills.\u00a0 Not exactly sure why the Bills would claim Merriman as A) he definitely will not re-sign there and B) he will probably be less than motivated to play for a team with 0 wins.<\/p>\n

2) Harris injured-<\/strong> On Wednesday Jets head coach Rex Ryan reported that linebacker David Harris missed practice due to a back injury.\u00a0 The injury, which reportedly came from weightlifting, should not keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Lions.\u00a0 Harris is arguably the Jets best defensive player, so keep an eye on this.<\/p>\n

3) Jets to practice at NMS?<\/strong> On Wednesday Rex Ryan mentioned that the Jets could practice at the New Meadowlands Stadium to get a better feel for the winds.\u00a0 Not for nothing but shouldn’t this have been done already? You should try to get every home field advantage you can, especially in a new stadium.<\/p>\n

4) J-Co speaks-<\/strong> On Wednesday New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery met with the media and here are some of his quotes courtesy of the Jets.<\/p>\n

On if he takes an analytical approach to his drops against Green Bay or he just forgets it\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

“There\u2019s a fine line. You have to look at it and see what you did wrong on film. (They were) just technique issues. Those things are easy to fix, so you go back and you compare and make sure those things don\u2019t come up again.”<\/p>\n

On moving past Green Bay and looking towards Detroit\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

“That\u2019s the thing about the NFL. (There are) so many games in the season. You can\u2019t dwell on one game. We have a game coming up real fast and that\u2019s the Detroit Lions, and those guys play incredibly hard. Their coach (Jim Schwartz) preaches it\u2014to play four quarters\u2014and we just have to come out ready to play from the beginning.”<\/p>\n

On if he was hard on himself about the Green Bay game\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I always beat myself up. That\u2019s how I overcome things. That\u2019s how I prepare for the next time around. That helps me work harder in practice on things I need to fix. I\u2019ll beat myself up, (but) it\u2019s not a problem.”<\/p>\n

I honestly think Jerricho will bounce back strong as he is a very consistent receiver, that takes a lot of pride in his performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
