{"id":60698,"date":"2022-10-03T07:45:33","date_gmt":"2022-10-03T11:45:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=60698"},"modified":"2022-10-03T07:45:33","modified_gmt":"2022-10-03T11:45:33","slug":"zach-wilson-heats-up-after-slow-start-in-win-against-steelers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2022\/10\/03\/zach-wilson-heats-up-after-slow-start-in-win-against-steelers\/","title":{"rendered":"Zach Wilson Heats up After Slow Start in win Against Steelers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zach Wilson&#8217;s performance against the Steelers wasn&#8217;t always pretty, but it was a thing of beauty when it mattered most.\u00a0 After a painfully slow start early on, the team&#8217;s 13-10 deficit felt like 31-10.\u00a0 At 20-10, the hill appeared almost certainly too steep to climb.\u00a0 It turned out to be anything but.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by Conor Hughes of SNY, Wilson was sporting a passer rating of just 13.8 after his first 20 pass attempts.\u00a0 Taking into consideration the multiple drops and rushed throws, the stats don&#8217;t tell the whole story.\u00a0 But even still, Wilson wasn&#8217;t as sharp as you&#8217;d like.\u00a0 In fact, his struggles on short swings and screens that plagued him last season reared their ugly head again.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Zach Wilson, in his first game back, is 7 of 20 (35 percent) for 106 yards with 2 INTs. Nothing spectacular on the surface, but it&#39;s these throws he made in college that made him so good.  Reading the defense and quick release when Conklin comes open.
