{"id":60442,"date":"2022-09-13T08:23:46","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T12:23:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=60442"},"modified":"2022-09-13T08:23:46","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T12:23:46","slug":"is-it-too-early-for-jets-to-start-worrying-about-abysmal-performance-from-high-priced-o-lineman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2022\/09\/13\/is-it-too-early-for-jets-to-start-worrying-about-abysmal-performance-from-high-priced-o-lineman\/","title":{"rendered":"Is it too Early for Jets to Start Worrying About Abysmal Performance From High Priced O-Lineman?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, the NFL season is a long 17 games with its share of ups and downs for just about every team, player and coach.\u00a0 That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s almost never a good idea to get too high or too low after just one game.\u00a0 Almost never.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Just one game, but didn&#39;t expect this from Laken Tomlinson. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DevS8zwkBP\">pic.twitter.com\/DevS8zwkBP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Glenn Naughton (@JNRadio_Glenn) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JNRadio_Glenn\/status\/1569243363442044928?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 12, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>For the Jets, there had to be at least a handful of folks at 1 Jets drive who worried about what they saw in week 1 from Laken Tomlinson.\u00a0 The left guard who was brought in to solidify the offensive line after an outstanding career with the 49ers was, and there&#8217;s no other way to say it&#8230;abysmal.\u00a0 Well, there are a few other words, but none of them suitable for this space.<\/p>\n<p>If Jets didn&#8217;t know any better, they may have thought the team retained the departed Greg Van Roten and moved him to the left side.\u00a0 When all was said and done, Tomlinson allowed a whopping EIGHT quarterback pressures en route to a PFF grade of 35.2.\u00a0 It was Tomlinson&#8217;s worst grade since his 35.2 back in 2019.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Laken Tomlinson&#39;s week 1 PFF grade of 38.6 is his worst since week 11 of the 2019 season when he earned a 35.2.
