Last week I went a pathetic 6-8, which left me feeling like a Buffalo Bills fan on a Monday morning.\u00a0 My year to date total is 34-28, which makes me thankful I did not quit my day job.\u00a0 Here are my picks for week 5.<\/p>\n
Jaguars over the Bills-<\/strong> The Jags are coming off of a huge win against the Colts and will suffer a letdown against the winless Bills. Not enough of a letdown that will prevent Jones-Drew from taking over the game.\u00a0 Jags 21-17<\/strong><\/p>\n Ravens over the Broncos-<\/strong> Broncos #4 ranked offense vs. Ravens #1 ranked defense.\u00a0 Taking the Ravens, especially since they are at home, but this game could be closer than most expect.\u00a0 Ravens 21-20<\/strong><\/p>\n Colts over the Chiefs-<\/strong> Back to reality time for the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs.\u00a0 Yes the Chiefs are much improved, but playing the Colts after a tough loss, on the road, is too much to ask. Colts 31-13<\/strong><\/p>\n Packers over the Redskins-<\/strong> The Pack continue to find ways to keep teams in the game and one can only wonder when they will put together a complete effort.\u00a0 (I am still surprised they did not trade for Marshawn Lynch) Great effort by the ‘Skins last week, but will not be as lucky on Sunday.\u00a0 Packers 28-17<\/strong><\/p>\n Rams over the Lions-<\/strong> You know the times are changing when the Rams are being chosen to win games.\u00a0 This game could be a shootout or a defensive battle, either way I think St. Louis comes out on top.\u00a0 Rams 24-20<\/strong><\/p>\n Bears over the Panthers-<\/strong> This could easily be the ugliest game of the day as the Panthers are starting a rookie quarterback and the Bears are starting Todd Collins in place of an injured Jay Cutler (still having nightmares of Giants defenders). Bears 13-10<\/strong><\/p>\n Bengals over the Buccaneers-<\/strong> The Bengals continue to be a mystery, especially on offense where they are loaded with talent. Could this be the breakout week?\u00a0 Bengals 31-17<\/strong><\/p>\n Falcons over the Browns-<\/strong> The Browns play well at home, but the Falcons running game could be too much for them to handle. As a fantasy owner of Michael Turner, I surely hope that is the case.\u00a0 Falcons 21-13<\/strong><\/p>\n Texans over the Giants-<\/strong> The Giants injury list is almost as long as the Yankees record book, therefore I think this could be a long day for Big Blue.\u00a0 Texans 34-17<\/strong><\/p>\n Saints over the Cardinals-<\/strong> The Cards are hoping that Max Hall is the answer at quarterback.\u00a0 One thing that is for certain is that Hall will not beat Drew Brees in a shootout.\u00a0 Saints 35-7<\/strong><\/p>\n Cowboys over the Titans-<\/strong> The Titans are starting to fall apart defensively which is not a good sign as they take on the rested Cowboys. Romo and company could have a big day.\u00a0 Cowboys 28-17<\/strong><\/p>\n Chargers over the Raiders-<\/strong> These two teams always play close games and was initially leaning towards the Raiders playing at home.\u00a0 Then my brain Tom Cabled me to pick the Chargers.\u00a0 Chargers 24-21<\/strong><\/p>\n Eagles over the 49ers-<\/strong> There is nothing better than listening to Eagles fans rip Kevin Kolb, to now hear them sing his praise with Vick being out.\u00a0 Some things never change, like the 49ers finding new ways to self-destruct.\u00a0 Eagles 20-10<\/strong><\/p>\n New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings<\/strong>– Monday Night Football at the New Meadowlands Stadium<\/p>\n Talk about a game with storylines. Favre coming back to play the Jets, Favre and Moss playing together for first time, Favre playing on his marketing channel ESPN, ESPN playing Favre, Favre talking to Rachel Nichols, Ed Werder and Rachel Nichols talking to Favre.\u00a0 In all seriousness this is going to be a great game as the Vikings have a very good defense and were only a receiver away from having a solid offense.\u00a0 Can the Jets stop running back Adrian Peterson? Will Revis suit up and defend against Moss?
