When it comes to the New York Jets it appears that the team has three types of fans and they are as follows:<\/p>\n
1) The “Same Old Jets” fan-<\/strong> This is the fan that has been through it all with Gang Green and honestly believes that the team will not win a Super Bowl in their lifetime.\u00a0 Any glimpse of misfortune brings out the quote “Same Old Jets” and a rant about all of the team’s mishaps in the past (fake spike game, Gastineau late hit, Mud Bowl, 6 turnovers in AFC Championship game etc).<\/p>\n 2) The skeptical Jets fan-<\/strong> This is the fan that lives and dies with Gang Green and has a glimmer of hope that one day the Jets will get their second Super Bowl ring.\u00a0 This fan is beaten and skeptical, but no where near as negative as the “Same Old Jets” fan.<\/p>\n 3) The new age Jets fan-<\/strong> This is a fan that can care less about the Jets history and is more concerned with the current team and their prospects.\u00a0 This person has embraced the Rex Ryan “Super Bowl” or bust mentality and believes that the Jets are building a strong foundation for years to come.<\/p>\n With the 2010 season set to kickoff for the Jets on Monday night I took a few minutes to speak with some diehard fans to get their predictions.\u00a0 It appears that as of now the “Same Old Jets” fans have gone into hiding, as there is a ton of optimism heading into the new season.<\/p>\n William Henn Jets 2010 Record:<\/strong> 11-5 Kurt Doyle Jets 2010 Record:<\/strong> 11-5 Tony Ambrogio Jets 2010 record: 11-5<\/strong>. A lot of tough games, but the matchups favor the Jets for the most part.
