{"id":51262,"date":"2020-06-23T09:42:25","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T13:42:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=51262"},"modified":"2020-06-23T09:42:25","modified_gmt":"2020-06-23T13:42:25","slug":"former-jet-says-gase-doesnt-care-in-addressing-jamal-adams-saga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2020\/06\/23\/former-jet-says-gase-doesnt-care-in-addressing-jamal-adams-saga\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Jet Says Gase &#8220;Doesn&#8217;t Care&#8221; in Addressing Jamal Adams Saga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the Jamal Adams vs the Jets very public contract\/no-contract saga carries on, a former Jets defensive back chimed in with a comment that may raise some eyebrows via his twitter account.<\/p>\n<p>The man who started opposite the great Darrelle Revis when the Jets were last relevant, Antonio Cromartie, had <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CRO31\/status\/1274408303272046593?s=20\">this to say<\/a><\/strong> in defense of Adams after being accused bye one fan of &#8220;sh***ing on the Jets&#8221; with his pro-Adams opinions.\u00a0 Cromartie replied, &#8220;Shi**ing on the @nyjets.\u00a0 I want the best for the organization.\u00a0 But when you hire a HC who doesn&#8217;t care&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cromartie has been in contact with Adams to find out of there&#8217;s more to his situation than meets the eye, and without getting too specific, Adams is insinuating through Cromartie that that&#8217;s exactly what&#8217;s going on.<\/p>\n<p>Before singling out Adam Gase for not caring, Cromartie first said that after speaking with Adams, he came away unsurprised, saying &#8220;I&#8217;m not shocked at all&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Just had a great conversation with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Prez?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Prez<\/a> and all I can say is I\u2019m not shocked at all.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; COACH ANTONIO CROMARTIE (@CRO31) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CRO31\/status\/1274399114898399233?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 20, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>If there is some tension between Gase and Adams, it wouldn&#8217;t come as much surprise.\u00a0 Former Gase players have spoken out against him in the past, and he himself has acknowledged the fact that he will go weeks (or months) at a time without speaking to a player if they&#8217;re injured.\u00a0 If there weren&#8217;t at least a handful of players who don&#8217;t see eye to eye with Gase it would come as little surprise.\u00a0 If it were Gase and Adams butting heads, it would be even less of a surprise given the size of the two egos.<\/p>\n<p>In a somewhat of a contradiction, Cromartie made his comments before interacting with a few fans on twitter before saying he knows the truth, but it <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CRO31\/status\/1274408515969470465\"><strong>wasn&#8217;t his place<\/strong><\/a> to say anything.<\/p>\n<p>Strange times in Jets land.\u00a0 Strange times, indeed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the Jamal Adams vs the Jets very public contract\/no-contract saga carries on, a former Jets defensive back chimed in with a comment that may raise some eyebrows via his twitter account.
