The announcement was made by Jets\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.<\/p>\n<p>Lamkin, a 6-6, 240-pound product out of Texas A&#038;M-Corpus Christi, was signed to the Jets\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 practice squad on November 8, 2005 and spent the remainder of the season on the team\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s practice squad. He was signed to an NFL futures contract by the Jets on January 3, 2006.
