{"id":46679,"date":"2019-11-18T11:50:10","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T15:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=46679"},"modified":"2019-11-18T11:50:10","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T15:50:10","slug":"cimini-darnold-meeting-with-gase-got-offense-on-right-track","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2019\/11\/18\/cimini-darnold-meeting-with-gase-got-offense-on-right-track\/","title":{"rendered":"Cimini: Darnold Meeting With Gase got Offense on Right Track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For much of the Jets season, observers were left scratching their heads and wondering why head coach Adam Gase wasn&#8217;t playing to the strengths of quarterback Sam Darnold.\u00a0 Yes, Darnold missed a chunk of time after week one, but even after his return, there weren&#8217;t any rollouts, very little play action, no run-pass options.\u00a0 Well, not enough to make an impact anyway.\u00a0 For some reason, many of the things that had Darnold playing like a franchise quarterback late last season were no longer present.\u00a0 It seems Darnold noticed, and he took things in to his own hands.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It all started changing for Darnold when, after the Jacksonville disaster, he met with Gase and started telling him how HE wanted the offense to run. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Jets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Jets<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/90Xdxgz0IT\">https:\/\/t.co\/90Xdxgz0IT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash;
