{"id":43102,"date":"2019-01-14T07:08:26","date_gmt":"2019-01-14T11:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=43102"},"modified":"2019-01-14T07:08:26","modified_gmt":"2019-01-14T11:08:26","slug":"the-calm-after-the-storm-jets-fans-getting-on-board-with-gase-hire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2019\/01\/14\/the-calm-after-the-storm-jets-fans-getting-on-board-with-gase-hire\/","title":{"rendered":"The Calm After the Storm; Jets Fans Getting on Board With Gase Hire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Perhaps it was because some members of the national media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/watch\/the-herd-with-colin-cowherd\/video\/1423499331743\"><strong>praised the move<\/strong><\/a>, perhaps it was the well publicized <a href=\"https:\/\/broncoswire.usatoday.com\/2019\/01\/10\/new-york-jets-peyton-manning-recommended-coach-adam-gase\/\"><strong>endorsement<\/strong><\/a> from Peyton Manning, or maybe it was the commentary from wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who said that Sam Darnold could one day be a Super Bowl MVP under his tutelage.\u00a0 We&#8217;re talking of course about the hiring of Adam Gase as the Jets new head coach and fan reaction to the move.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, fans were none to happy about the decision to bring Gase to 1 Jets drive just a few weeks after being fired by the Dolphins.\u00a0 According to a twitter poll from Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, a whopping 68% of fans were unhappy with the hire after it was announced.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Survey: Do you like the Adam Gase hire or not? <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Jets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Jets<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RichCimini\/status\/1083175318108672002?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 10, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Since that time, fans seem to be getting more comfortable with the move as a JetNation.com poll showed that nearly the exact same number of Jets fans felt better about the move with 67% saying they were warming up to the decision.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A few days have passed since the Gase hiring, Jets fans.
