The injury report is out and the Jets are looking healthier. You can debate how much that matters at the tail end of this lost season. Sam Darnold was a full participant in practice.\u00a0Todd Bowles gave this update on Darnold.<\/p>\n

He looked fine, I mean he threw the ball around pretty good but it’s day one, so we’re trending.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well you’ve got to stay healthy. He’s got to get the rust off and he’s got to get the game plan down. He’s got reps last week, we’ll continue to get him reps this week. We’ll monitor it as it goes along and we’ll make a decision toward the end of the week.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yet somehow Bowles still wouldn’t commit to Darnold when he was asked who will start on Sunday.<\/p>\n

We’ll see, it’s too early in the week.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On whether Marcus Maye needs surgery on his shoulder…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He had it on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the time frame for Maye’s recovery…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A couple of months, they’re not sure. It can go give or take a couple (months) depending on how it heals.<\/span><\/p>\n

On if there is a chance Maye will be ready by the spring…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

On if Maye had his shoulder scoped…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

He got surgery.<\/span><\/p>\n

On was Maye\u2019s injury to his rotator cuff… <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a shoulder, yes.<\/span><\/p>\n

On not thinking Josh Martin would be back this season and what changed…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Well he’s out there running around, so his first day practicing in pads. He got a little better, so we’ll just continue to monitor him and let him run around.<\/span><\/p>\n

On if Martin will play again soon…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Too early to tell, I’ve only seen him for a day.<\/span><\/p>\n

On how long the team has to make a decision on Martin…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
