{"id":41416,"date":"2018-10-05T10:07:27","date_gmt":"2018-10-05T14:07:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=41416"},"modified":"2018-10-05T15:20:46","modified_gmt":"2018-10-05T19:20:46","slug":"new-york-jets-enunwa-johnson-and-roberts-suffer-practice-injuries-status-uncertain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2018\/10\/05\/new-york-jets-enunwa-johnson-and-roberts-suffer-practice-injuries-status-uncertain\/","title":{"rendered":"Enunwa, Johnson and Roberts Suffer Practice Injuries; Status Uncertain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Jets suffered a few injuries that could considerably hinder them in Sunday&#8217;s meeting with the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.\u00a0 While the severity of the injuries aren&#8217;t clear, the names of the players and their importance on the roster are undeniable.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest name to appear on the injury report was Sam Darnold&#8217;s favorite target in wide receiver Quincy Enunwa (hip), whom Darnold has targeted on 29% of his passes this season.\u00a0 Enunwa didn&#8217;t seem overly concerned about the injury <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2018\/10\/05\/two-jets-starters-in-doubt-for-broncos-after-practice-injuries\/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&amp;utm_medium=site%20buttons&amp;utm_campaign=site%20buttons\"><strong>according to Brian Costello<\/strong><\/a> of the New York Post.\u00a0 If Enunwa can&#8217;t go, the silver lining could be Darnold being forced to look elsewhere on offense and perhaps get Jermaine Kearse and Robby Anderson more involved in the offense.<\/p>\n<p>Already thin at cornerback, the team&#8217;s top corner, Trumaine Johnson, was limited in practice with a quad injury.\u00a0 Even having struggled in the early going of the 2018 season, Johnson would be expected to help corral Broncos wide receiver tandem of Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Johnson begin dinged up, fellow cornerback Darryl Roberts was limited in practice along with Enunwa and Johnson due to a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n<p>Head coach Todd Bowles will provide updates on the injury later today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Jets suffered a few injuries that could considerably hinder them in Sunday&#8217;s meeting with the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.\u00a0 While the severity of the injuries aren&#8217;t clear, the names of the players and their importance on the roster are undeniable.
