{"id":40944,"date":"2018-09-05T19:05:57","date_gmt":"2018-09-05T23:05:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=40944"},"modified":"2018-09-05T19:05:57","modified_gmt":"2018-09-05T23:05:57","slug":"jets-hold-multiple-tryouts-for-help-at-edge-and-kicker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2018\/09\/05\/jets-hold-multiple-tryouts-for-help-at-edge-and-kicker\/","title":{"rendered":"Jets Hold Multiple Tryouts for Help at Edge and Kicker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a busy day for the Jets today despite the season not getting under way until Monday night in Detroit when they take on Matthew Stafford and the Lions.\u00a0 With a few deficiencies to address, the team took a look at a few prospects off the edge along with a defensive back and a kicker.<\/p>\n<p>Nate Orchard, a former second-round pick of the Cleveland Browns was scheduled to meet with the Jets today as they continue to explore options to get to the quarterback.\u00a0 Along with Orchard, the team reportedly took a look at Hau&#8217;oli Kikaha, a former member of the New Orleans Saints.who has 8 sacks in 27 career games (12 starts).<\/p>\n<p>The team also auditioned former Buccaneers cornerback Josh Robinson, who hasn&#8217;t started a game since 2014 and has primarily been a special teams player.\u00a0 Clearly an area the team is looking to upgrade.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Jets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Jets<\/a> worked out a few defenders today: Former <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Saints?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Saints<\/a> DE Hau&#39;oli Kikaha and former <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bucs?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bucs<\/a> DB Josh Robinson had workouts, I\u2019m told.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapSheet\/status\/1037400864988835840?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 5, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Still apparently unsettled at kicker, the Jets held a workout with former second-round Tampa Bay Bucs kicker Robert Aguayo.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Source: free agent kicker Roberto Aguayo is trying out for the Jets today.
