Bryant wasn\u2019t selected in NFL supplemental draft, but ran a 4.4-range 40 at pro day, could contribute immediately on special teams.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/1017112877788954624?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 11, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Tom Pelissero of the NFL network is reporting that Gang Green is expected to sign former Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant after he went undrafted in today&#8217;s supplemental draft.<\/p>\n<p>There were rumblings of Bryant being snagged with a sixth or seventh round pick, but in the end, he wasn&#8217;t chosen by any of the 32 NFL clubs, leaving him free to sign with the club of his choosing.<\/p>\n<p>The speedy Bryant who has been clocked in the 4.4&#8217;s, finished his collegiate career with 5 interceptions in three years, to go along with 157 tackles and a forced fumble.<\/p>\n<p>Bryant joins a crowded depth chart at safety that is topped of course, by Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, Mike Maccagnan&#8217;s first and second round picks respectively from last year&#8217;s draft.<\/p>\n<p>Bryant was included on JetNation&#8217;s supplemental watch list that you can view right <a href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2018\/07\/09\/jetnation-supplemental-draft-watch-list-2018\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Jets sure love themselves some safeties.
