{"id":38624,"date":"2018-03-12T12:04:47","date_gmt":"2018-03-12T16:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=38624"},"modified":"2018-03-12T12:04:47","modified_gmt":"2018-03-12T16:04:47","slug":"new-york-jets-standing-firm-on-seferian-jenkins-offer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2018\/03\/12\/new-york-jets-standing-firm-on-seferian-jenkins-offer\/","title":{"rendered":"Report: Jets Standing Firm on Seferian-Jenkins Offer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With free agency about to get under way, it looks as if Mike Maccagnan and the Jets are playing hardball with one of their own pending free agents in tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins.<\/p>\n<p>The team reportedly offered Seferian-Jenkins $8 million over two years at the conclusion of the 2017 season but the tight end turned it down in hopes of getting the Jets to come up to the $6-7 million per year mark.\u00a0 So far, the Jets have reportedly stayed at the same number they offered months ago.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Jets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Jets<\/a> haven\u2019t budged from their 2-year, $8m offer to Austin Seferian-Jenkins, which was put on the table before season ended. <\/p>\n<p>Still interest on both sides to get something done, but sounds like he\u2019ll hit free agency. <\/p>\n<p>Risky move for NYJ.
