Todd Bowles says it&#39;s a &quot;coach&#39;s decision.&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Jets?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Jets<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dennis Waszak Jr. (@DWAZ73) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DWAZ73\/status\/941722927505879043?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 15, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Sans a handful of games this season, Wilkerson has been largely ineffective while showing little to no effort.\u00a0 The thought of benching him was brought up on the JetNation forums right <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forums.jetnation.com\/topic\/134171-time-to-bench-mo-for-the-season\/\">here<\/a><\/strong> two months ago as an injury to Wilkerson would mean the Jets would be stuck with him for all of next season with an almost $20 million cap hit.<\/p>\n<p>If the Jets are in fact finally doing the right thing with Wilkerson, he should have played his final game as a Jet with the team standing to\u00a0 save $17 million against the cap next season.<\/p>\n<p>Update:<\/p>\n<p>It appears Wilkerson&#8217;s deactivation was due to yet another incident in which he was late to the team facility according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Mo Wilkerson was VERY late to the Jets facility today, which is why he was suspended, according to a source.
