{"id":3792,"date":"2010-01-29T02:08:41","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T06:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=3792"},"modified":"2019-11-27T06:54:19","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T10:54:19","slug":"mark-sanchez-may-need-knee-surgey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2010\/01\/29\/mark-sanchez-may-need-knee-surgey\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Sanchez May Need Knee Surgey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez jumped into the off season by going to see Dr. James Andrews for an opinion on his knees.\u00a0\u00a0 GM Mike Tannenbaum announced that Mark may need surgery but the decision is up to him.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Allen wrote on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorkjets.com\/news\/articles\/show\/3606-gm-sanchez-deciding-on-minor-knee-surgery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NYJets.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI would just say there may have been some small tweaks along the way but if there&#8217;s any procedure, it won&#8217;t be anything significant,\u201d\u00a0Tannenbaum said, referring to the left knee. \u201cYou know, it&#8217;s going to be much more of a rehab situation, more preventive, strengthening, things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The right knee will be strengthened through rehabilitation, but Sanchez must decide whether to get surgery on the ligament stabilizing the patella in his left knee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo decision has been made if he&#8217;ll have a procedure. I know it&#8217;s been reported that he had that second opinion yesterday,\u201d Tannenbaum said of the meeting between Sanchez and Dr. Andrews. \u201cSo we will look at that collectively, but he will be ready well before camp.
