{"id":34314,"date":"2016-10-26T16:04:20","date_gmt":"2016-10-26T20:04:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=34314"},"modified":"2016-10-27T01:07:35","modified_gmt":"2016-10-27T05:07:35","slug":"new-york-jets-christian-hackenberg-bryce-petty-split-first-team-reps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2016\/10\/26\/new-york-jets-christian-hackenberg-bryce-petty-split-first-team-reps\/","title":{"rendered":"Hackenberg, Petty Split First-Team Reps"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week as a guest on the Micheal Kay show, Jets head coach Todd Bowles told hosts Michael Kay and Don LaGreca that the team had not yet decided on who Gang Green&#8217;s back-up quarterback would be for their Sunday showdown against the Cleveland Browns, Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenberg.<\/p>\n<p>The hosts wondered aloud if Bowles mentioning of Hackenberg, he of the media-imposed red shirt season, was simply &#8220;coach speak&#8221;, or a real possibility.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it seems we now have our answer.<\/p>\n<p>While fielding questions from the media during his press conference earlier today, Bowles told reporters that both Petty and Hackenberg both got reps with the first-team offense.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Todd Bowles said Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg split QB reps in practice.
