{"id":32363,"date":"2016-04-29T18:01:30","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T22:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=32363"},"modified":"2016-04-29T18:01:30","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T22:01:30","slug":"will-jets-maccagnan-explore-changing-qb-trade-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2016\/04\/29\/will-jets-maccagnan-explore-changing-qb-trade-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Will Jets, Maccagnan Explore Changing QB Trade Market?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As the Jets gear up for rounds 2 and 3 of tonight&#8217;s NFL draft, and the quarterback position is still needing addressed, might Gang Green get involved in a deal with many of the teams rumored to be shopping their current signal-callers?<\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s no secret that the Philadelphia Eagles are shopping current starter <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/247sports.com\/Bolt\/Sam-Bradford-no-longer-taking-Eagles-phone-calls-45082233\">Sam Bradford<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">it was reported last night during the draft that the Eagle&#8217;s asking price is a bit steep at a pair of second round picks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Following the selection of Cal quarterback Jared Goff to kick off the draft, the Los Angeles Rams are now said to be shopping both their back-up QB&#8217;s in Nick Foles and Case Keenum.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Not only are Rams fielding trade offers for Nick Foles, but they&#39;d also listen to teams interested in dealing for QB Case Keenum <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nflnetwork?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@nflnetwork<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Michael Silver (@MikeSilver) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MikeSilver\/status\/726115737824157696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 29, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Neither player would be likely to inspire much faith from the fan base, but neither would likely represent a significant change from last year&#8217;s starter, Ryan Fitzpatrick, who remains unsigned.<\/p>\n<p>After taking over for a struggling Foles last season, Keenum started five games, throwing 4 touchdowns and 1 interception while completing 57% of his passes.<\/p>\n<p>Jets GM Mike Maccagnan and Head Coach Todd Bowles are both familiar with Keenum as he was a member of the Houston Texans when Maccagnan was working in the Texans front office, and Bowles faced Keenum and the Texans in 2014 when Keenum tied a career-high with 3 touchdown passes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton &nbsp; As the Jets gear up for rounds 2 and 3 of tonight&#8217;s NFL draft, and the quarterback position is still needing addressed, might Gang Green get involved in a deal with many of the teams rumored to be shopping their current signal-callers?
