{"id":32281,"date":"2016-04-20T11:28:58","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T15:28:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=32281"},"modified":"2016-04-20T11:28:58","modified_gmt":"2016-04-20T15:28:58","slug":"colon-jets-unrepared-for-week-17-loss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2016\/04\/20\/colon-jets-unrepared-for-week-17-loss\/","title":{"rendered":"Colon: Jets Unrepared for Week 17 Loss"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Willie Colon is still <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nj.com\/jets\/index.ssf\/2016\/04\/jets_willie_colon_explains_why_he_refuses_to_retir.html\">undecided<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0about whether or not he&#8217;ll play a tenth NFL season, but if he&#8217;s hoping t&#8217;s with the Jets, he may have hurt his chances just a bit with comments he made on Sirius XM NFL radio.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the struggles of Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the team&#8217;s heartbreaking week 17 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Colon offered a response that included a little bit of what casual observers saw, but also a few words that may have come as a surprise to Jets fans.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Everyone talks about Ryan&#8217;s three interceptions, but we did a lot of things wrong in that game. \u00a0We couldn&#8217;t get off the field on third down and we couldn&#8217;t run the ball&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing surprising there.<\/p>\n<p>However, Colon continued &#8220;It just seemed like, even during the pre-game when we came out on the field, even though they had nothing to play for, the Bills were more prepared to play than we were&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Not the most complementary comments from a veteran lineman who has taken part in his share of big games as a member of the 2008 Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t exactly uncharted territory for Colon who was also <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nj.com\/jets\/index.ssf\/2016\/02\/willie_colon_todd_bowles_cleaned_up_rex_ryan_john.html\">critical<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of former Head Coach Rex Ryan following his departure to Buffalo this past offseason.<\/p>\n<p>Colon has not offered a time frame on his decision to play or not in 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton &nbsp; Willie Colon is still undecided\u00a0about whether or not he&#8217;ll play a tenth NFL season, but if he&#8217;s hoping t&#8217;s with the Jets, he may have hurt his chances just a bit with comments he made on Sirius XM NFL radio.
