With all of the Super Bowl nonsense behind us, it’s time to focus on our\u00a0off-season.<\/p>\n

Goal<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To improve by at least 2 games and challenge NE for the AFC East.\u00a0 Here’s\u00a0what needs to be addressed:<\/p>\n

Special Teams<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– Total overhaul of our kick\/punt coverage units has to take place.\u00a0 Younger\u00a0more athletic back end roster players have to be found.<\/p>\n

– Quigley MUST BE REPLACED, hopefully before training camp.\u00a0 It’s amazing that\u00a0he’s been our punter for THREE YEARS and still regularly has 20 yard shanks.<\/p>\n

– Two returners must be found and they both should be able to return kicks\u00a0and punts.\u00a0 They have to backup one another.<\/p>\n

– Our units have to get to the middle of the pack (14-18) after last year’s fiasco.<\/p>\n

Offense<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– Running game must become more consistent.\u00a0 This will require us bringing in\u00a01-2 OT’s and 2-3 durable\/speedy RB’s.\u00a0 A better running game will take pressure\u00a0off Fitzpatrick and not put him into situations where he has to “carry” the
\noffense.<\/p>\n

– Secondary options must step up at WR & TE to give our offense more variety\u00a0and lessen the pressure on Marshall & Decker.<\/p>\n

Defense<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– Increase the speed of our LB unit by bringing in at least 3 (1 ILB & 2 OLB)\u00a0new players.<\/p>\n

– Shift the attacking focus of our front seven from our DLine to our “new” LB\u00a0unit.<\/p>\n

– It’s time for Milliner & McDougle to live up to their draft positions and\u00a0get on the field.\u00a0 If they do they increase the talent\/depth of our secondary.\u00a0If they can’t it’s time to move on.<\/p>\n
