{"id":3107,"date":"2009-10-17T16:41:43","date_gmt":"2009-10-17T20:41:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=3107"},"modified":"2019-11-27T07:12:04","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T11:12:04","slug":"danny-woodhead-to-active-roster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2009\/10\/17\/danny-woodhead-to-active-roster\/","title":{"rendered":"Danny Woodhead To Active Roster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New York Jets have signed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nj.com\/jets\/index.ssf\/2009\/10\/ny_jets_sign_rb-turned-wr_dann.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Danny Woodhead to the active roster<\/a>.\u00a0 The running back has been working at wide receiver recently.\u00a0 With injuries to Jerricho Cotchery and Brad Smith, both out on Sunday versus the Bills, the Jets decided to get creative and give Woodhead a shot.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to watch, Woodhead out of the slot will definitely be hard to cover.\u00a0 He will have to get off of the line of scrimmage though so we think he will be jammed often.\u00a0 How he responds to that will go a long way to deciding how successful he is at wideout.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dave Hutchinson wrote:<\/p>\n<p>Woodhead, a two-time Division 1-AA Player of the Year at Chadron St., was moved to wide receiver this week after impressing the coaches while impersonating\u00a0Patriots slot receiver Wes Welker on the scout team prior to a Week 2 game against the Patriots.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We put him in the slot and he was tough,&#8221; said Jets coach Rex Ryan. &#8220;He really was.
