{"id":30852,"date":"2015-11-21T21:04:50","date_gmt":"2015-11-22T01:04:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=30852"},"modified":"2015-11-21T21:04:50","modified_gmt":"2015-11-22T01:04:50","slug":"new-york-jets-quincy-enunwa-officially-set-to-return-catapano-joins-active-roster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2015\/11\/21\/new-york-jets-quincy-enunwa-officially-set-to-return-catapano-joins-active-roster\/","title":{"rendered":"Enunwa Officially set to Return, Catapano Joins Active Roster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The New York Jets announced several roster moves today in preparation for tomorrow&#8217;s showdown with the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n<p>First and foremost, wide receiver\/H-back Quincy Enunwa was officially added to the 53-man roster, having served his four-game suspension stemming from an incident early last season in which he faced charges for domestic violence. \u00a0The charges were later dropped but that didn&#8217;t matter to league officials as they forced Enunwa to sit out four games.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We have activated WR Quincy Enunwa and signed DE Mike Catapano to the active roster, placed RB Zac Stacy on IR and waived S Ronald Martin.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; New York Jets (@nyjets) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nyjets\/status\/668137279236403200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 21, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Another move, perhaps due to the uncertainty of the status of defensive end Sheldon Richardson, was the addition of defensive end Mike Catapano from the practice squad.<\/p>\n<p>Catapano, a former seventh-round draft choice two seasons ago, was <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2015\/09\/08\/defensive-end-mike-catapano-added-to-practice-squad\/\">added to the Jets practice squad<\/a><\/strong><\/span> just before the start of the season after being let go by the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n<p>In a much-anticipated move, the team also place running back Zac Stacy in season-ending injured reserve. \u00a0Stacy sustained a fractured ankle in the team&#8217;s<span style=\"color: #0000ff\"> <strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2015\/11\/16\/monday-notes-rex-leaves-metlife-with-a-win-jets-in-a-slump\/\">22-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>To make room for both players, safety Ronald Martin was let go by the team and may be added to the practice squad should he make it through waivers in the coming days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Glenn Naughton &nbsp; The New York Jets announced several roster moves today in preparation for tomorrow&#8217;s showdown with the Houston Texans.
