For normal leagues, I&#8217;ll pick some players outside the top 10 and 15 who I think will play well as well as some higher rated players who I see underachieving using\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/fantasy\/football\/story\/_\/page\/15ranksWeek1QB\/fantasy-football-week-1-rankings-quarterbacks-top-25-qb\" target=\"_blank\">the ESPN rankings<\/a>. Last week I went 6-4 in underachievers and overachievers, and not bad but much room for improvement in FanDuel. \u00a0 Let&#8217;s get to it.<\/p>\n<h4>Underachievers<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>New England Patriots QB\u00a0Tom Brady: Rex Ryan always give Tom Brady trouble, use another option if possible.<\/li>\n<li>Denver Broncos\u00a0QB\u00a0Peyton Manning: Until he shows something different, I cannot see starting him unless it is a really deep league.<\/li>\n<li>Detroit Lions\u00a0QB\u00a0Matthew Stafford: He struggles on the road and especially against good teams.<\/li>\n<li>Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0RB\u00a0Jamaal Charles: You probably have to start him but don&#8217;t expect much going against a top 3 defense.<\/li>\n<li>Denver Broncos\u00a0RB\u00a0C.J. Anderson: He looks like he is going to play but is banged up, on the road and looked slow last week compared to Ronnie Hillman.<\/li>\n<li>Indianapolis Colts\u00a0RB\u00a0Frank Gore: He looked old last week and playing the Jets defense will not help this week.<\/li>\n<li>San Diego Chargers WR\u00a0Keenan Allen: He is coming off a huge week but facing a tougher defense on the road, I would not expect half of last week..<\/li>\n<li>Oakland Raiders\u00a0WR\u00a0Amari Cooper: Right now no one is sure who is playing QB and the Baltimore defense is one that will not make anyone look good.<\/li>\n<li>New York Jets\u00a0WR\u00a0Brandon Marshall: He is probably be covered by Vontae Davis who shuts everyone down..<\/li>\n<li>San Diego Chargers\u00a0TE\u00a0Ladarious Green: The\u00a0Cincinnati Bengals are stout defending the tight end, there are better options.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Overachievers<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Arizona Cardinals\u00a0QB\u00a0Carson Palmer: He is a top 5 fantasy QB when healthy, ride the train.<\/li>\n<li>New York Giants\u00a0QB\u00a0Eli Manning: He is back home with a plus match-up versus the Atlanta Falcons.<\/li>\n<li>Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0QB\u00a0Sam Bradford: He had a slow start, great 2nd half and think he exposes the Dallas Cowboys secondary.<\/li>\n<li>Detroit Lions\u00a0RB\u00a0Ameer Abdullah: He looks to be real deal and should be an every week start.<\/li>\n<li>Atlanta Falcons\u00a0RB\u00a0Tevin Coleman: He looked like the real deal last week and got over 20 touches. \u00a0The Giants struggle on everything on defense<\/li>\n<li>St. Louis Rams\u00a0RB\u00a0Tre Mason: He is healthy and ready to go, last year was a top 20 RB the 2nd half of the season.<\/li>\n<li>Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0WR Jordan Matthews: He is a every week starter, no questions asked.<\/li>\n<li>Dallas Cowboys\u00a0WR\u00a0Terrance Williams: I expect at least 10 targets against a very shaky Eagles pass defense.<\/li>\n<li>Arizona Cardinals\u00a0WR\u00a0John Brown: This is the start of his breakout year and becoming an every week starter.<\/li>\n<li>Carolina Panthers\u00a0TE\u00a0Greg Olsen: He was invisible last week and I have no doubts Cam Newton gets him very involved this week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"paragraph3\" class=\"pgh-paragraph\">Here are my FanDuel picks for the week where I will give some higher and lower salaries I like at each position:<\/p>\n<h4>QB<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>New Orleans\u00a0QB\u00a0Drew Brees, $8,900: The\u00a0Buccaneers\u00a0are just awful. If you are going to pay, pay here.<\/li>\n<li>New York Giants\u00a0QB\u00a0Eli Manning, $8,000: I love the home match-up and bounce back.<\/li>\n<li>Arizona Cardinals QB\u00a0Carson Palmer, $7,800: The\u00a0Bears\u00a0are easy pickings.<\/li>\n<li>Cincinnati Bengals\u00a0QB\u00a0Andy Dalton, $6,900: He always plays well at home and best cheap option this week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>RB<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>New Orleans Saints\u00a0RB\u00a0Mark Ingram, $8,000: Great price for this kind of match-up.<\/li>\n<li>Miami Dolphins RB\u00a0Lamar Miller, $7,300: You can run on the Jaguars.<\/li>\n<li>Oakland Raiders\u00a0RB\u00a0Latavius Murray, $6,800: He will get the touches no matter what the score.<\/li>\n<li>Atlanta Falcons\u00a0RB\u00a0Tevin Coleman\u00a0$6,500- I think he continues with the 20 plus touches.<\/li>\n<li>Detroit Lions\u00a0RB\u00a0Ameer Abdullah, $6,400: Just a great price for this kind of talent<\/li>\n<li>San Diego Chargers\u00a0RB\u00a0Danny Woodhead, $6,200: The best cheap option of the week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>WR<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Atlanta Falcons WR\u00a0Julio Jones, $8,800: I expect an huge day that&#8217;s worth the price.<\/li>\n<li>Houston Texans WR\u00a0DeAndre Hopkins, $8,2000: I see double digit targets and a touchdown.<\/li>\n<li>New Orleans WR\u00a0Brandin Cooks, $7,400: As you can see,I love all Saints this week.<\/li>\n<li>Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0WR\u00a0Jordan Matthews, $7,000: Just love him and the match-up this week<\/li>\n<li>San Francisco 49ers\u00a0WR\u00a0Anquan Boldin, $6,400: I see many more targets in a plus match-up.<\/li>\n<li>Arizona Cardinals\u00a0WR\u00a0John Brown, $6,200: Carson Palmer&#8217;s favorite deep receiver.<\/li>\n<li>Green Bay Packers \u00a0WR\u00a0James Jones, $5,400: \u00a0My favorite cheap play at receiver.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>TE<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Dallas Cowboys\u00a0TE\u00a0Jason Witten, $6,000: He should be the top target of Tony Romo<\/li>\n<li>Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0TE\u00a0Zach Ertz, $5,200: A cheap gamble that could pay off big.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"paragraph4\" class=\"pgh-paragraph\">Thank you for reading and have a great week, feel free to ask any questions here or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dvond\" target=\"_blank\">on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the 2nd week of NFL football and my start or sit column.
