Saturday, August 29th the New York Jets will be facing the New York Giants in the MetLife Bowl 2015. This is an away game for the Jets, and while only a preseason game, the MetLife Bowl has always been played and viewed as a regular season game. We all remember Rex Ryan’s reaction to Snoopy Bowl\u00a0when he still coached the Jets.<\/p>\n
There is a charitable component to the MetLife Bowl, and as usual, the players are involved. The New York Jets and running back Chris Ivory (@ivory33) support\u00a0the Trust for Public Land, www.TPL.org<\/a>. The Giants and cornerback Steve Weatherford (@Weatherford5) support\u00a0with KaBoom, www.kaboom.org<\/a>. Both organizations help kids by creating playgrounds and healthy play spaces.<\/p>\n Fans are encouraged to get involved through social media. Through the end of the game on August 29, MetLife Foundation will donate $10 for every tweet sent with the hashtag #MetLifeGives, and up to an additional $10,000 to the winning team’s charity.<\/p>\n JetNation will definitely be there tweeting away, representing both MetLife and the Jets.
