Facility Notes<\/strong><\/h2>\n
\u00a0– FANTASTIC job by the organization in reshaping the facility for fan\u00a0viewing! They learned from their time at Hofstra and Cortland and\u00a0really applied it. \u00a0The bleachers are top notch with individual seats\u00a0that have backs.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– “Jets Fest” has games and activities for kids and of course the souvenir\u00a0tent is there. \u00a0They also have free water areas and cooling stations if\u00a0you get too hot.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

\u00a0General Notes<\/strong><\/h2>\n
\u00a0– Players in shells & shorts.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Practice ran for 2 hours and 35 minutes.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Willie Colon, Kevin Vickerson & Stevan Ridley are still out<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– It’s noticeable that Sheldon Richardson has been demoted and is seeing\u00a0fewer reps.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Massive tryout for our punt returner. \u00a0Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley, Walter\u00a0Powell, Chris Owusu & Devier Posey all took reps.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– No 1 on 1 drills today, where you can really see players strengths and\u00a0weaknesses. \u00a0But Bowles\/Gailey do run “mirror” passing drills with 2 QB’s\u00a0throwing the same patterns in tandem. \u00a0Allows more reps for more players\u00a0in less time.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– There’s a ton of mixing and matching going on so don’t get caught up with\u00a0who is #1, #2 or #3 right now. \u00a0The only unit staying together is the OLine\u00a0(Brick, Carpenter, Mangold, Breno) with Brian Winters & Brent Qvale splitting\u00a0time at RG.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– During team drills Gailey showed the tendency to speed up the offensive\u00a0tempo if the defense is slow to react. \u00a0Also based on the way they interact\u00a0Kevin Patullo (QB coach) is the OC in training. \u00a0Patullo does a ton of the\u00a0detail work while Gailey oversees the operation. \u00a0Sometimes Gailey would\u00a0totally focus on the routes the WR’s were running and ignore everything\u00a0else. \u00a0Gailey did take a spill when the defense blitzed and he got knocked\u00a0to the ground.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Very even practice, no one ran or did push ups so I’m assuming no one won\u00a0the competition period. \u00a0The defense was excellent in stopping the run while\u00a0the offense was effective throwing the ball.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Player Notes<\/strong><\/h2>\n
– Leonard Williams flashed showing good penetration while splitting time at\u00a0DE, NT and DT.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– IK Enemkpali had a “sack” of Ryan Fitzpatrick during 11 on 11.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Quinton Coples had a couple of “tackles for loss” on running plays.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Dexter McDougle had a nice day. \u00a0He should’ve had a pick of Fitzpatrick but\u00a0he dropped it and he had a “sack”.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Jace Amaro had a nice day stretching the middle of the field and not dropping\u00a0anything.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– There was a Shaq Evans sighting he had a solid day.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Watching Brandon Marshall is a pleasure. \u00a0He had one of the highlights of the\u00a0day making a one handed catch in the corner of the end zone but the ref said\u00a0he stepped out. \u00a0Everything comes so easy to him, easily the best WR we’ve had\u00a0since Keyshawn Johnson.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Gailey was putting Marshall and Eric Decker into some very interesting “stacked\u00a0slot” formations. \u00a0Which made it very hard for CB’s to cover them as they ran\u00a0rub routes.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

QB Notes<\/strong><\/h2>\n
– Bryce Petty is a PROJECT don’t call for him to play this year. \u00a0He needs a ton\u00a0of work, his arm is strong but erratic. \u00a0I think the reason why is because at Baylor\u00a0WR’s were running free but in the pros windows are tight. \u00a0So sometimes he’ll sail\u00a0a pass or come up short.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Fitzpatrick had a solid day with a couple of TD’s to Eric Decker and Saalim Hakim\u00a0during red zone drills. \u00a0And a nice 30+ yard pass to TJ Graham, but his arm strength\u00a0outside the numbers is shaky. \u00a0Combine that with a gunslinger mentality and I can see\u00a0why he can turn the ball over.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Geno Smith was sharp today not because of how many passes he completed but where\u00a0he went with the ball. \u00a0I made it a point to watch the defensive backfield and the\u00a0coverage when he threw the ball. \u00a0And he was spot on, throwing into tight windows\u00a0and anticipating when a WR was c coming open. \u00a0He did have one bad throw (almost INT?)\u00a0when the defense threw a blitz at him during red zone drills. \u00a0His throw to Devin\u00a0Smith was a highlight of the day, 30+ yards down the sideline over Marcus Williams.<\/div>\n
