(152nd overall)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Twitter: <\/strong>@J_Harrison51<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From the small town of Navasota, Texas, Harrison stayed close to home in choosing to play his college football at Texas A&amp;M where he would display blue-chip ability at times in playing both guard positions as well as left tackle for two contests as a senior.<\/p>\n<p>After\u00a0offensive tackle German Ifedi suffered a knee injury in 2014, Harrison\u00a0slid over to left tackle for two games, one of which was against the\u00a0 nation&#8217;s top pass-rusher, Shane Ray of Missouri.\u00a0 Despite yielding a sack to Ray,\u00a0Harrison&#8217;s performance\u00a0was solid overall, given\u00a0his inexperience on the outside.<\/p>\n<p>He was a key member\u00a0of an offensive line that produced one of the\u00a0nation&#8217;s\u00a0best offenses as the\u00a0Aggies were fifth in the county in yards and sixth\u00a0in scoring in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Some scouts have questioned Harrison&#8217;s work ethic, but there isn&#8217;t much debate regarding\u00a0his physical ability as one NFL scouting director told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/draft\/2015\/profiles\/jarvis-harrison?id=2552341\">NFL.com<\/a> that despite the concerns, Harrison is a pro-bowl caliber player who the Jets <a href=\"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2015\/05\/27\/is-new-york-jets-jarvis-harrison-new-york-jets-perfect-pick-for-todd-bowles-gang-green\/\">rolled the dice on with their 5th round pick (152 overall).<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Harrison will need some seasoning, but some analysts, including Gil Brandt, also\u00a0of NFL.com, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/story\/0ap3000000476707\/article\/no-johnny-but-still-plenty-of-intrigue-at-texas-ams-pro-day\">feel he could become an NFL left tackle<\/a> over time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Name: Jarvis Harrison Position: OG HT: 6&#8242; 4&#8221; WT: 330 College: Texas A&amp;M Acquired: 2015 Draft\/5th Rd.
