The schedule isn’t even out yet and there are still four months or so until training camp, but we know a few things about the 2015 New York Jets.<\/p>\n
They are going to be aggressive.<\/em><\/p>\n That applies to the Jets both on and off the field. \u00a0Todd Bowles is the new head coach and he is known for being aggressive and blitz happy on defense. Chan Gailey is the new offensive coordinator and he is expected to run a spread offense here.<\/p>\n Being aggressive doesn’t mean much if you don’t have talent. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n New GM Mike Maccagnan\u00a0is running with the organizational theme of aggressiveness and has improved this roster in a hurry. The same roster that John Idzik left in shambles. \u00a0Idzik didn’t sign the wrong guys, it seemed like he didn’t sign any guys. \u00a0Maccagnan will ultimately be graded on how he performs in the NFL draft. Right now he is doing a good job of making the Jets competitive again.<\/p>\n Let’s recap what the Jets have done so far in free agency.<\/p>\n Wide Receiver – Maccagnan traded for\u00a0Brandon Marshall<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>then they released Percy Harvin<\/a><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Running Back –\u00a0Bilal Powell<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Offensive Guard –\u00a0James Carpenter<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>was brought in from Seattle and\u00a0Willie Colon<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has agreed to a one-year veteran minimum contract.<\/p>\n They started by signing David Harris<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and then it is all about the secondary.\u00a0<\/strong>Cornerbacks anyone? Welcome to town\u00a0Buster Skrine<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Darrelle Revis<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<\/strong>Antonio Cromartie<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Oh and it looks like a new safety is headed to town, the announcement is expected on Friday.
