Revisionist history is one of the best classes you can take.\u00a0 Except with the internet a lot more is documented these days.\u00a0 Brad Childress doesn’t seem to understand this.\u00a0 The Vikings head coach is saying that the Jets let Favre throw too much in practice last year on his first day.\u00a0 The numbers they are quoting simply are not true.<\/p>\n
Chilly puts Favre on a pitch count

According to Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, coach Brad Childress (a\/k\/a “Chilly”) plans to limit the number of passes that quarterback Brett Favre will be throwing in practice.<\/p>\n
Chilly points out that Favre’s first practice last year with the Jets entailed too many throws.<\/p>\n
“By his own admission, he probably threw 200 balls in the Jets first day of practice and probably set himself back, with the fans and the crowd,” Childress said. “Trying to show off, a little bit.”<\/p>\n
During Favre’s first practice in Minnesota, the number was much lower. And Chilly plans to keep it that way.<\/p>\n
“You have to keep an eye on it,” the fourth-year coach said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I<\/a> was at that practice and tweeted it live<\/a>.\u00a0 Favre did a great job, he ran with the team, did all the drills but there is no way that he threw 200 passes.\u00a0 Eric Mangini is a lot of things, extremely paranoid and calculated are at the top of the list.\u00a0 There is zero chance that Mangini would wear Favre out on the first day.<\/p>\n
So Brad Childress, have fun and pray you beat the Packers.\u00a0 You should probably concentrate more on that, the main stream media will take care of the Brett Favre ball washing.<\/p>\n
