{"id":26583,"date":"2014-10-02T22:23:12","date_gmt":"2014-10-03T02:23:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=26583"},"modified":"2022-04-01T03:29:33","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T07:29:33","slug":"fantasy-football-start-emsit-em-for-week-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2014\/10\/02\/fantasy-football-start-emsit-em-for-week-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Fantasy Football Start &#8216;Em\/Sit &#8216;Em For Week 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to our 5th installment of Start \u2018em and Sit \u2018em.\u00a0 I try and not call out obvious decisions and make this productive for possible decisions that fantasy owner have to make each week.\u00a0 This is nor a huge bye week as the only relevant guys that are off are Lamar Miller and Mike Wallace.\u00a0 Since we are in week 5,\u00a0 now is the time to stop looking at the names of players but look at the production.\u00a0 If your team is struggling you only have 9 weeks to get it turned around, there is no reason to be patient on your mid round picks who 1\/4<sup>th<\/sup> of the way are not producing.\u00a0 As an example,\u00a0 I dropped Brady for Bortles in one league and dropped Torrey Smith for Brian Quick as just 2 examples.\u00a0 Last week we went 6-5 \u00a0in the Start \u2018Em\u00a0 and crushed it again in the Sit \u201cem going 8-2.\u00a0 Please feel free to direct any questions to me either below or on Twitter.\u00a0 \u00a0Let\u2019s get to this week\u2019s list;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Start \u2018Em<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Ben Roethlisburger \u2013 He gets another bad defense in the Jaguars, there is no way he is not a top 5 QB this week.<\/li>\n<li>Jay Cutler &#8211; The Carolina defense is struggling big time, fell confident in him this week.<\/li>\n<li>Eli Manning &#8211; He has been reborn in this new system and gets the awful Falcons defense.<\/li>\n<li>Reggie Bush &#8211; With injuries everywhere in the Lions backfield he should get the majority of the touches at home,\u00a0 could be a huge week.<\/li>\n<li>Matt Asiata &#8211; He is in the top 10 for fantasy RB\u2019s and with Bridgewater maybe being out, I can see a ton of touches.<\/li>\n<li>Darrin Reaves \u2013 This is for deep leagues but has a great matchup and should get a ton of work with all the injuries.<\/li>\n<li>Vincent Jackson \u2013m He has a connection with Mike Glennon from last year and they will have to throw to stay in the game<\/li>\n<li>Brian Quick \u2013 I have him as a WR2 this week versus the Eagles and being the Rams top deep target.<\/li>\n<li>Eric Decker \u2013 When he plays all he has done is score touchdowns, Jets should have to throw to stay in the game against the Chargers.<\/li>\n<li>Travis Kelce &#8211; He is by far the best option the Chiefs have in the passing game and is now playing full time.<\/li>\n<li>Garrett Graham &#8211; This is a deep play but the Cowboys are in the bottom 5 defending the tight end position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Bench \u2018Em<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Matt Ryan \u2013 He is again on the road where he is a horror show and gets a solid Giants defense.<\/li>\n<li>Tony Romo &#8211; He looked better last week but in this very run heavy offense, is too much of a gamble with all these options.<\/li>\n<li>Cam Newton &#8211; He just does not look close to 100%,\u00a0 would not start him in any league.<\/li>\n<li>Montee Ball &#8211; You may have to start him but the Cardinals defense is so string against the run and he just has not looked like a RB1,\u00a0 I would not expect much.<\/li>\n<li>Doug Martin &#8211; He has a great matchup but I see them trailing a ton and did not look even average last week.<\/li>\n<li>J.
