Losman threw two TD passes after replacing an injured Kelly Holcomb. Four turnovers doomed the Chiefs who outgained the Bills on the day.

Stat of the game: The Bills outplayed the Chiefs highly regarded offensive line posting six sacks and forcing Trent Green into three INTs.

Bears 17 49ers 9
The Bears got a 108-yard TD return of a missed field goal. Things are bad when that’s what you need to win at home against the 49ers, and the Bears are the best team in the NFC North.

Stat of the game: These two juggernauts combined for 95 yards passing on the day.

Lions 29 Cardinals 21
Joey Harrington had a good day. There’s something you don’t read very often.

Stat of the game: The Lions dominated on the ground outgaining the Cardinals 157 to 38.

Colts 31 Texans 17
It was a nice tune-up for the Colts who face the Bengals and Steelers in the next two weeks.

Stat of the game: The Colts had 26 first downs while limiting the Texans to just 11.

Patriots 23 Dolphins 16
The Dolphins gave the Pats all they could handle. Tom Brady led a late drive for a TD to win it, but this team is not winning anything more than the weak AFC East at best.

Stat of the game: Jamal Lewis managed just 13 more rushing yards than his quarterback.

Vikings 24 Giants 21
The protests over the Gnats not cracking the top five in the power poll should subside after Sunday’s mess. The Gnats are just not that good.

Stat of the Game: Five turnovers washed away the fact that the Giants outgained the Vikings 405 to 137 on Sunday.

Jaguars 30 Ravens 3
Kyle Boller’s return provided nothing for Baltimore. It’s time for the Ravens to re-evaluate their future at QB.

Stat of the Game: The Ravens had 86 penalty yards and just 53 rushing yards.

Broncos 31 Raiders 17
Jake Plummer broke the franchise mark for pass attempts without an INT. He has evolved from a mistake-prone QB into a candidate for MVP. Denver opened up a two-game lead in the AFC West with the road win in Oakland.

Stat of the Game: Kerry Collins had three INTs for the year coming into the game. He threw three on Sunday against Denver.

Packers 33 Falcons 25
The Falcons flop against Green Bay tightened up the NFC South. The Dirty Birds will look back at this one if the division gets away from them.

Stat of the Game: The 2-7 Packers are still in the race to win the pathetic NFC North.

Seahawks 31 Rams 16
The Seahawks gave themselves a three-game lead in the NFC West. Shaun Alexander is a leading candidate for MVP honors. He bulldozed the Rams for 165 yards and three TDs.

Stat of the Game: The Rams passing attack has been iced by injury. Marshall Faulk had as many catches as Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce combined (5).

Buccaneers 36 Redskins 35
Chris Simms took a major step in leading the Bucs to a comeback win. His three-TD performance included a last-minute TD pass that put the Bucs within one point. He may be the Bucs franchise QB after all.

Stat of the Game: Joey Galloway is quietly having a monster season in Tampa. He had 7 catches for 131 yards and a TD on Sunday.

Steelers 34 Browns 21
The Steelers are thankful that Big Ben’s injury came with Green Bay and Cleveland on the schedule. They will struggle if he’s not ready to face Cincinnati and Indianapolis in the next two weeks.

Stat of the Game: Batch has only turned the ball over once in his two starts. That is all the Steelers wanted from him.

Panthers 30 Jets 3
Jets, this is rock bottom. Rock bottom, meet the Jets. Bollinger deserved a start after his play against San Diego. Now he can go back to the bench. After the Denver game, the Jets are home to New Orleans in a Sunday night game. That game will tell everyone if the Jets have cashed in the chips on this season.

Stat of the Game: The Panthers successfully arrived on time for the game.

Cowboys 21 Eagles 20 (Mon)
The Eagles gift-wrapped an early Christmas present for the Cowgirls. It appears neither team from last year’s Super Bowl will be much of a factor in this year’s playoffs.

Stat of the Game: The Eagles dropped the game despite rushing for 181 yards and limiting Dallas to 58.

By Nick Ferraro Jetnation Columnist Week Ten Bills 14 Chiefs 3 JP Losman may have won back the starting QB spot after rallying the Bills.
