Ryan acknowledged that there will be times when the Jets may go with the hot hand, \u201csure, that\u2019s a possibility too\u201d said Ryan <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/blog\/new-york\/jets\/post\/_\/id\/41339\/jets-plan-three-headed-monster-at-rb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to ESPN.com\u2019s Rich Cimini<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to imagine the Jets going with any other approach at this point. They have three very capable backs in Chris Johnson, Chris Ivory, and Bilal Powell.\u00a0\u00a0Some may even argue that St. Louis Rams castoff Darly Richardson should be in the picture.\u00a0 Richardson averaged 4.8 YPC as a rookie two years ago\u00a0to go along with 163 receiving yards on 24 catches, but saw a drop in production in coordiantor Brian Schottenheimer&#8217;s offense.<\/p>\n<p>Given Johnson\u2019s high mileage and Ivory\u2019s injury history, it wouldn\u2019t be unreasonable for the Jets to find a way to keep a fourth RB.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In what wasn\u2019t much of a surprise to Jets fans, head coach Rex Ryan announced that the team plans to utilize three running backs this season.
