The Jets used the franchise tag<\/a> on Folk earlier this month which would have paid the kicker $3.55 million guaranteed for one season but he would’ve become an unrestricted free agent again in 2015.<\/p>\n

Now Folk, who made 33-of 36 field goals (91.7%) last year, has a deal to which can keep him a Jet through 2017.<\/p>\n

Nick Folk got $12M over 4 years with $2.1M guaranteed. His ’14 cap number is $3.6M. It was $3.556M with the franchise tag.<\/p>\n
