His 22-34 performance will land Joey Harrington on the bench indefinitely.

Stat of the game: The Lions had three INTs and limited the Browns to 56 yards passing.

Rams 28 Saints 17
The Rams shouldn’t be able to win without their starting QB and both starting WRs. That is, of course, unless the Saints are in town.

Stat of the game: The Rams finally got some production on the ground as Stephen Jackson had 20 carries for 97 yards.

Vikings 23 Green Bay 20
The Vikings showed some heart coming back from 17-0 at the half. Paul Edinger’s 56-yard field goal as time expired won the game. As bad as they’ve played, Minnesota is just one game back in the mighty NFC North.

Stat of the game: Sunday was Culpepper’s first day without an INT this year.

Eagles 20 Chargers 17
The Eagles came up with a blocked field goal for a touchdown to win it in Phillly. If the Eagles don’t fix their ground game, there’ll be a new NFC representative in the Super Bowl. McNabb threw it 54 times while the Birds ran it just 14 times for 24 yards.

Stat of the game: The Eagle defense dominated the Charger’s ground game limiting LaDainian Tomlinson to just seven yards on seventeen carries.

Redskins 52 49ers 17
The Skins let it loose after two tough road losses. The 49ers are a welcome guest this season.

Stat of the Game: LaVar Arrington finally got on the field and made nine tackles for Washington.

Colts 38 Houston 20
The only surprise is that the Texans offense accounted for two touchdowns in the same game.

Stat of the Game: The Texans coaching staff will need to find ways to win while amassing 6 yards passing.

Seahawks 13 Cowboys 10
The Cowgirls blew it late after controlling the game. The Seahawks got 10 points in the games final minute to win.

Stat of the Game: The Cowboys couldn’t get points on the board despite dominating on the ground 164-72.

Bears 10 Ravens 6
The Ravens would need two plays to get into field goal range if the defense left the field.

Stat of the Game: Thomas Jones is now 7th in the league in rushing after carrying 25 times for 139 yards. Rookie Cedric Benson had two carries for six yards.

Raiders 38 Bills 17
The Raiders finally put together the kind of offensive game people expected all year. They also played their best defensive game of the season limiting Willis McGahee to 50 yards rushing.

Stat of the Game: LaMont Jordan carried 28 times for 122 yards and three TDs.

Giants 24 Broncos 23
Eli Manning led a gutsy 2-minute drive for the winning TD. The Giants caught a break when Jason Elam missed a long field goal on Denver’s last drive that would have made it a nine-point game.

Stat of the Game: The Giants are now 4-2 and tied for 1st in the NFC East. I have no idea how.

Arizona 20 Titans 10
The Cardinals shutout the Titans over the final three quarters to win in Phoenix.

Stat of the Game: There is not one person reading this who cares.

Chiefs 30 Dolphins 20 (Friday)
The Chiefs dominated the ball for over 41 of the 60 minutes of play. The KC ground game rolled up 185 yards against the Fish in the Hurricane Bowl.

Stat of the Game: The Dolphins had only nine first downs on the night.

Falcons 27 Jets 14 (Mon)
Turnovers finished the Jets early in Atlanta. The Falcons built a 20-0 lead midway through the 2nd quarter with two touchdowns resulting from fumbles by Vinny Testaverde. Vinny had three fumbles and an INT on the night. Testaverde left the game in the third quarter with an Achilles injury. The luckless Jets also lost LB Eric Barton for the year with a torn triceps. Atlanta, the league’s best rushing team, posted 205 yards on the ground. Warrick Dunn ran for 155 yards on 23 carries. The Jets needed a mistake-free game to compete, but they turned it over four times in the loss. The center exchange was an issue early as Pete Kendall, who shifted from guard to center to replace the injured Kevin Mawae, and Vinny Testaverde couldn’t get on the same page.

Stat of the Game: The Jets had 37 yards rushing while losing 44 yards on penalties.

By Nick Ferraro Senior Columnist Top Five 1.
