{"id":2222,"date":"2009-04-01T00:01:07","date_gmt":"2009-04-01T05:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jetnation.com\/?p=2222"},"modified":"2019-12-02T02:17:45","modified_gmt":"2019-12-02T06:17:45","slug":"us-govt-takes-over-jetnation-forces-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/miletestsite.com\/jets\/2009\/04\/01\/us-govt-takes-over-jetnation-forces-change\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. Gov&#8217;t Takes Over JetNation; Forces Change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this month we reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.jetnation.com\/\">the recession had hit JetNation<\/a>.\u00a0 Needless to say, JetNation has struggled in this economic climate.\u00a0 A failure to adapt to new world internet business models has taken a huge toll on JetNation&#8217;s bottom line.\u00a0 The shareholders have voiced their displeasure as JetNation refuses to charge for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The search feature<\/li>\n<li>NY Jets articles<\/li>\n<li>Membership fees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After several rounds of government assistance and missed deadlines for a plan to revive the internet giant, the White House on Monday finally lost faith in the site&#8217;s ability to fix its own longstanding problems.<\/p>\n<p>Despite months of negotiations with various moderators and site administrators, the Obama administration refused to offer JN another round of bailout funds, saying the web site&#8217;s restructuring proposals didn&#8217;t go far enough to make for a viable plan.\u00a0 The president, careful not to blame crappy posters for JetNation&#8217;s woes, accused the JetNation moderation team of lax leadership.\u00a0 It was little consolation for posters, though.
