On the second day of practice\u2026<\/b>
\nIt was good, it was very competitive. Both sides made plays. Everybody looked quick, fast and sharp out there, but that\u2019s nothing. Tomorrow we put the pads on and that\u2019s when it gets real. We\u2019re itching, we\u2019re itching. There\u2019s been a couple scuffles out here, tempers starting to flare already. We put the pads on tomorrow, so we\u2019ll see \u2013 we\u2019re going to find out.<\/p>\n

On how anxious the team is to move on from last season\u2026<\/b>
\nWe\u2019re past that already. It\u2019s a new team, a new year. Of course we learned from the things we did last year, but it\u2019s a new year and we have to look forward.<\/p>\n

On training camp being awkward without Bart Scott\u2026<\/b>
\nIt is. It is. I\u2019m not going to lie. I\u2019m just so used to playing next to Bart. He\u2019s always off running his mouth and being Bart, everybody knows that. But everybody\u2019s career comes to an end at some point and unfortunately he\u2019s not here (anymore). Demario (Davis) has been doing a great job of filling his shoes, so it\u2019s going good so far.<\/p>\n

On the defense without Darrelle Revis\u2026<\/b>
\nHe\u2019s a great player. Everybody knows that. He was a great teammate, a great Jet, but he\u2019s not here anymore. (Antonio) Cromartie stepped up to be that guy for us and now we\u2019re going to need Kyle (Wilson) to step up next to Cro or Dee Milliner when he gets here, but we\u2019re going to do fine, just great.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
